Euro-Med Monitor for Human Rights, headquartered in Geneva, published preliminary statistics on the second day of the Israeli Occupation assault on the besieged Gaza.

The Euro-Med Monitor cited that 41 Palestinians were killed during the Israeli attacks on the 9th of July, including 11 children, 7 women and 23 senior citizens. The number of Palestinians wounded reached 329 civilians, their injuries ranged between medium, minor and serious; of which 77 children, 59 women and 193 senior citizens.

The Euro-Med Monitor stated that the number of Israeli rockets fired on Gaza exceeded 542 missiles in total of which 372 aerial strikes, 93 naval rockets and 77 artillery shells. Statistics recorded 198 houses destroyed since the beginning of the aggression; of which 35 houses were totally destroyed and 163 were partially destroyed.

Additionally, the Israeli warplanes targeted one mosque and the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis south of the Gaza Strip, which caused damages to the hospital. An ambulance was also targeted.

This brings the total number of Palestinian victims on the second day of the Israeli assault on Gaza to 58, and the total number of wounded to 450. Additionally, the total number of Israeli rockets fired on Gaza accumulates to 1033. The total number of demolished homes reaches 312 on the second day of the attack.
