A new report, “Caught on Camera: Israel’s Arbitrary Killings and its System of Structural Violence,” will be released by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor at 3 p.m. local time on Friday, October 16, at the Swiss Press Club in Geneva.

The report summarizes the results of Euro-Med Monitor’s investigations into recent Israeli human rights abuses in the occupied Palestinian Territories. Featured at the press conference will video footage and photos illustrating the harassment and killing of Palestinian civilians involved in political protests during the last two weeks.

“Everyone is comparing the uprisings sweeping the West Bank, Gaza and Israel to the first and second intifadas. However, there is one crucial difference no one is talking about: This time, harassment of and attacks against Palestinians are being captured on smart phones and cameras,” says Ramy Abdu, Euro-Med Monitor chairman.

“Throughout the past two weeks, Euro-Med Monitor has documented Israel’s reckless disregard for lives through testimonies, video recordings and photos.”
